Amber Portwood Claims She Gets Treated Differently Than Her 'Teen Mom' Co-Stars as She Quits Show
By Jennifer Fabiano

During the Teen Mom OG season reunion, Amber Portwood shocked fans by quitting the show during a very emotional moment. Portwood had previously threatened to quit during a Twitter rant back in November, so fans know she hasn’t been happy with the MTV show’s producers for a long time now.
I have to quit this show

Amber even responded to fans when they reached out to show support on the subject.
The heartache this show has put me through is too much to bear anymore. If I will not be shown then there's nothing more to do. My name will not get smeared anymore. I hope everyone is resting easy with the money they've made off of heartache and pain that I've endured.

On Monday’s Backstage Pass episode of Teen Mom, fans were gifted behind-the-scenes looks at moments during the reunion, which were not released at first, according to Pop Culture. After Amber declared that she was “quitting” the show, she made it clear she was serious by wearing a shirt that read, “Sorry I’m late, I didn’t want to come.”
Producer Larry Musnik asked Portword if she was still planning on leaving the show, to which she replied, "I stand where I stand." Amber complained that the show has portrayed her in ways that aren’t true to her life over the past few seasons.
"I've brought it up a million times ... the way I look on this show is not me," she said. "You guys aren't gonna show me, then why am I on it?"
What really sent Amber over the edge was the way she was treated by production after being diagnosed with postpartum depression following the birth of her son James. She asked Musnik why she received significantly less time off from filming to work with her psychiatrist than her co-star Catelynn Lowell did when she experienced similar mental health problems.
“What I think is — and not trying to be a b***h, but it’s really hard, the way I’m being treated, when I work my a** off," she explained. "I have postpartum depression, and I am f***ing right here.”
Portwood mentioned that she believes she is treated incredibly differently than the other girls who started filming the show at the same time she did.
"I get treated different than the other girls, and I'm sick and tired of it," Portwood stated. "Am I one of the girls that was in the pilot of this show? Am I 28 years old? Am I the oldest on on the f***ing show? So why am I getting treated different than any of the other girls?"
Later, Portwood talked with Lowell and explained how she was feeling. "Everything’s been amplified. Everything’s irritating. I’m tired constantly," Portwood said.
In the end, Amber agreed to continue with the show, stating that the reaction from the fans after declaring she was leaving the show was heartwarming.
@AmberLPortwood catching up on the backstage episode. Please don’t go anywhere. You give a voice to people who silently suffer in their homes alone. You are so many people’s happy ending. Your presence give a face to so may people’s story. YOU MATTER AND YOUR STORY MATTERS

We just hope that Amber starts to get treated better by the Teen Mom producers.
