Amber Portwood's New Boyfriend Dimitri Meets Leah and Gary Shirley in 'Teen Mom OG' Episode

The language barrier between Amber Portwood and her new boyfriend Dimitri Garcia certainly proved to be a bit awkward during last night's episode of Teen Mom OG, but it appears that those around the mom-of-two are supportive as can be in this next chapter in her life.

The latest episode of the MTV series showed Amber's new boo, who is from Belgium, coming to America so the two could finally meet. The reality star enlisted her ex-fiancé and baby daddy, Gary Shirley, to accompany her to the airport to pick Dimitri up, as she felt the extra support would be helpful. "She's still getting to know him, and plus she doesn't want to get seen by people with somebody right now," Gary explained to his wife Kristina.

After an honest conversation in the car where Gary advised Amber to use some sort of birth control with Dimitri, the pair arrived at the airport and the new arrival made his debut. "You guys look so cute together," Gary told them as they drove back home, to which Dimitri responded, "I understand that." And to make matters even more slightly uncomfortable, Gary then handed Dimitri a handful of "It's Gary Time Condoms," a.k.a. protection with his face on it. Never a dull moment!

Later on in the episode, Amber and Dimitri headed to Gary and Kristina's place for dinner so that Amber's daughter Leah could meet the new object of her mom's affection. The night seemed to go pretty well, as the group ate pizza and asked Dimitri some questions about his stay. At one point, Leah used Google Translate to ask Dimitri what he was most looking forward to seeing in America. Despite the language barrier, it was a successful introduction!

Amber then caught up with Dimitri on how he felt about the dinner, stressing that it was important for her to keep him comfortable, as well as Leah. They seemed to be in agreement that the night was great, and Dimitri noted that Amber's daughter was "very funny," to which Amber responded, "She's amazing."

Hopefully things will only continue to go smoothly for Amber as she navigates a new relationship and staying in a good place with Leah.
