Amber Portwood's Ex Gary Shirley Sends Support on Twitter Following Her Arrest
An ally has stepped up to publicly defend Amber Portwood, who was arrested last month.
Portwood’s ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirley, took to Twitter on July 29 to stick up for his former partner and mother of his daughter, Leah. While we're not sure what terms Portwood is on with current boyfriend Andrew Glennon, we know her ex and co-stars are remaining by her side.

Portwood was arrested on July 5 for domestic battery after allegedly hitting Glennon in the neck, threatening to commit suicide, and wielding a machete, all while Glennon held their one-year-old son, James, in his arms.
Soon after the arrest, Glennon filed a no-contact order against Portwood for both himself and James, as well as for sole custody. The MTV star has since been granted supervised visitations with her son.
Shirley, as well as the other Teen Mom OG castmates, were present at her court hearing on July 25.
Though they have had a tumultuous past (which is oddly similar to the present she is making with Glennon), Shirley is still standing by Portwood’s side.
