Ariana Grande Asks Fans to Bring Clear Bags to Her Shows for Security Purposes
By Olivia Montine
Ariana Grande is asking a favor of fans attending her upcoming Sweetener World Tour.
Grande took to Instagram to spread the message to her fans that security would be heightened as a result of the Manchester Arena Bombing that took place during her concert in 2017 as part of her Dangerous Woman tour.
The deadly terrorist attack killed 22, and Grande is taking steps to ensure that concertgoers feel extra safe at her massive upcoming tour. The added security will inevitably be more of a process than security has been in the past, and so the singer is encouraging her fans to play their part in making sure that everyone who attends gets through quickly and safely.
Grande posted a picture on Sunday modeling a clear fanny pack. In the caption, she told fans that an email will be sent out to those attending the tour with information about what bags they should bring.
"We’re sending out emails soon encouraging you to order a clear bag to bring your things into the venues as security is going to be very precise and smooth but for sure super strict," the 25 year old pop star wrote. "i just wanted to make sure you saw these and knew about all this ahead of time so everything can go as smoothly and safely as possible. love you. thank you!"
The tour starts in roughly a month, with the first show kicking off in Philadelphia.
