Ariana Grande Seemingly Hints New Song 'In My Head' is About Pete Davidson

Just a half-year after she blessed fans with Sweetener, Ariana Grande is remarkably already set to drop her new album Thank U, Next in February.
The “God is a Woman” singer has already released three songs from her upcoming album: "7 Rings," "Thank U, Next" and "Imagine."

This past Wednesday, Ari released the cover art for Thank U, Next, and on Instagram she dropped the tracklist for the album.

Besides fans freaking out over the song "Break Up With Your Boyfriend, I'm Bored," another track title left fans curious: “In My Head.” And one of the great things about being an Ariana stan is that when you have any curiosities, you can always just pop the question to the singer on Twitter, which is exactly what one fan did, asking, "What's in my head about? I need to know."

Grande responded: "being in love w a version of somebody you've created in your head. falling for someone that they are not."

And since the song is about misguided love, we immediately think about Pete Davidson. Not only was he her most recent boyfriend, but the duo’s relationship made waves for how fast it progressed, with the the couple getting engaged after just one month before splitting months later.

Perhaps, and this is just speculation, Grande fell in love with who she initially thought Pete was and kept that image of him in her head until she realized he wasn’t that person. We're not the only ones who think this, as fans have voiced similar sentiments on Twitter as well.

Thank U, Next debuts on Feb. 8.
