Although Ariana Grande has made it clear that music is the one thing that keeps her going, that doesn't mean she's healed from all the terrible things she's faced in the past two years.

Of course, one of the most tragic events the 25-year-old pop star had to go through was her split from boyfriend of nearly two years, Mac Miller, followed by his untimely death just months later. The late rapper sadly passed away in Sept. 2018 after an accidental overdose. So it's no surprise Mac has influenced many of Ari's songs since, as she explicitly name-drops him in her hit "Thank U, Next."

"Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm, 'cause he was an angel," Ariana sings, referring to Mac's real name, Malcolm McCormick. The track is obviously emotional, and during her tour stop in Washington, D.C. last night, the pop star broke down a bit at that verse. Watch the video below.

The talented lady was also captured struggling to make it through a few verses towards the end of the song, but thankfully her fans held it down and sang it for her. Late last night, Ari took to Twitter to thank everyone for their support through it all, even when she's being "super emo."

Fans instantly flooded the replies section to send even more support to the singer, who really just deserves all the happiness in the world. We hope the Sweetener World Tour is truly a therapeutic experience for Ariana.
