Art Imagines Tom Holland's Peter Parker in 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'
By Ryan Carroll
It’s been a successful several months for the Spider-Man franchise, between the release of the critically acclaimed and Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse last December, the return of Spider-Man in Avengers: Endgame, and the premiere of Spider-Man: Far From Home this July. This has obviously generated quite a bit of enthusiasm for the character--and some fans have even envisioned what it would be like for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker to enter into the universe-hopping world of the Spider-Verse.
ComicBook.com reports than the artist BossLogic created a portrait that envisions Holland’s Spider-Man in the style of Jake Johnson’s Peter B. Parker, the middle aged Spider-Man of Into the Spider-Verse. The image is captioned appropriately, being inspired by the burger scene from the film.
“‘Mmm. I love this burger, it’s so delicious,” BossLogic writes. “‘One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. In my universe an old friend of mine always took me here before it closed down.’”
A sequel and spinoff for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse are in the works, though Holland has not been tapped to appear. However, he has expressed admiration for the film in the past, calling it “one of the coolest films I've ever seen.”
As for us, we love this art, but it might be better to keep Holland’s Spider-Man and the characters of Spider-Verse separate--after all, Holland’s character will have a lot to deal with on his own when Far From Home hits theaters on July 2.
