Barbara Evans Says She Wants Jenelle to Get Custody of Kids Back 'Eventually'
Barbara Evans, mother of ex Teen Mom 2 star, Jenelle Evans, is currently the caregiver to her daughter's child, two-year-old Ensley, after a judge ordered that Jenelle temporarily lose custody of her children. Jenelle shares Ensley with husband David Eason.
Barbara told E! News, as reported by Us Weekly: "Of course I would like for Jenelle to get them all back eventually. But certain things have to happen first.”
Barbara has had permanent custody of Jenelle's eldest son, Jace, nine, whom Jenelle shares with her ex, Andrew Lewis, since 2017. Jenelle's four-year-old son, Kaiser, whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith, is in the care of his father.
The judge's order to remove the children from Jenelle's custody came after Kaiser reportedly admitted to school counselors that David shot and killed Jenelle's French bulldog, Nugget, for snapping at Ensley. Child Protective Services removed the children from their North Carolina home. According to Radar Online, the judge ruled that Jenelle “failed to protect the children while they were in her care.”
Jenelle's husband, David Eason, actually confirmed in an Instagram post on May 1 that he did kill Nugget. Along with a video, Eason wrote:
"Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I dont put up with that s**t at all. I’m all about protecting my family, it is my life[']s mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me."
For her part, Jenelle posted a tearful Instagram post in honor of Nugget.
What will happen next between Jenelle and her husband is unclear, but the children are remaining with their respective caregivers until the situation seems safer.
