There's some sad news this week for Game of Thrones fans. B.J. Hogg, the actor who portrayed Lannister bannerman Ser Addam Marbrand, has passed away at the age of 65. At this time, his cause of death is unclear. As reported by People, the actor's agent, Geoff Stanton, confirmed Hogg's death to the BBC on Thursday.

The Lisburn born actor had a career in entertainment that spanned decades. Despite having a featured role on HBO's hit fantasy drama, Hogg is perhaps best known for his work in comedy. Hogg portrayed Big Mervyn in the BBC Northern Ireland comedy series Give My Head Peace for over twenty years. Other credits include roles in the films Hunger, Closing the Ring, and Divorcing Jack. He also played a widower in the short film Dance Lexie Dance, which was nominated for an Oscar in 1998.

"He was such a great man, a big personality and a terrific actor," Hogg's agent said in a statement to BBC. "His family must be devastated and my heart goes out to them."

"He was a fine actor, great colleague and a true friend. Our thoughts are with his wife Elish, son Nathan and daughter Abigail at this time," said the Give My Head Peace producers.

Our thoughts and condolences to Mr. Hogg's family and friends.
