Fan Art by BossLogic Imagines Timothée Chalamet as a Young Loki
Marvel fans rejoiced when it was reported in 2018 that Marvel villain/antihero Loki would be granted a reprieve via his own series for Disney+. Not much has been released about the Tom Hiddleston-led series, though a report from The Hollywood Reporter suggests that the show will follow the titular character as he "pops up throughout human history as an unlikely influencer on historical events." Loki was, of course, portrayed in the MCU by Tom Hiddleston, before dying at Thanos' hands in Avengers: Infinity War, then appearing once again thanks to time-travel in Avengers: Endgame.
The actor's cunning performance as the God of Mischief has long been a fan favorite and fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming Loki series. Digital artist BossLogic often imagines what fan casting choices could look like as comic book characters, and Loki is no different. Inspired by Timothée Chalamet's work in the Netflix historical drama The King, BossLogic made artwork showing what the Academy Award nominee would look like as a younger version of Loki, as reported by ScreenRant.
Check out the awesome work below.
I don't know about you, but that looks pretty convincing to me! Chalamet's dark hair and brooding features could definitely pass for a young Loki, not to mention that he looks great in the trickster god's signature green cloak and horned crown.
It has yet to be revealed whether or not viewers will see Loki in his youth, but BossLogic has me convinced that the part should go to Chalamet should the need arise. Loki is currently scheduled for an early 2021 release, but production is currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
