Pop superstar Britney Spears - who only recently gained her own freedom back following her imprisonment in the cruel conservatorship that she was placed under by her own father, Jamie Spears - has received some backlash on social media following her "tone-def" Instagram activity amid the devastating war proceeding occurring right now in Ukraine.

The 40-year-old Toxic singer, took to her Instagram on Friday to share a series of sexy lingerie pictures of herself with her 39.7 million followers wearing a leopard print silk mini slip with lace detailing, skyscraper heels, and fingerless fishnet gloves.

The singer posed in a variety of poses for the nine snaps posted to her social media, with the caption, "Here’s 9 pics as in Nine Inch Nails ????!!!!!".

Ever since Britney Spears gained her freedom, she has been more active on social media and the general response (although sometimes baffled) was positive, up until now.

However, with the devastating developments in Ukraine, many of Britney's followers took to the comments section to call out the songstress on her "tone-def" post.

One user wrote in response, "There are ppl being killed in the Ukraine tonight, Dear." Another added, "Girl I love you but ... come on! Not tonight!!! People are dying!!!"

With a third simply writing, "Wow this is so tone-def, does she have no clue what's going on in the world?"
