Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell took a major chance at her latest hair appointment, and for many fans of the famous mom, it definitely paid off. The 28-year-old wife of Tyler Baltierra took to Instagram this week to show off her new purple locks, and people had opinions about it, to say the least. "Well here it is folks!," she wrote in the caption. While on her page, followers thought it totally suited her, others were quick to criticize the color on fan page reposts. Cate's post received gushing comments such as, "I’m OBSESSED!!! [heart eye emojis]. Looks fabulous, girl!," "Beautiful! Looks great on you [heart emoji]," and "Purple looks GREAT on you!! Totally suits your skin tone and makes your eyes pop!! [heart emojis]." However, when the Teen Mom fan page @TeenMomShadeRoom_ shared one of the shots, people were far less positive.

"Sorry, but no. It sort of looks like a bad wig," one harsh commenter wrote, while another added, "Why does her stylist do her dirty EVERY TIME?!?! she clearly hates her! #traitor." A third stated, "Sorry Cate... that’s not it baby." And though most of the comments were about her hair, others were quick to point out another detail in Cate's post—the cigarettes in her car door handle.

One particularly savage Instagram user wrote, "She better slow down on those cigarettes...she is not aging well," and another commented, "She literally has the cigarettes on her door. [sick emoji]. they are definitely making her age a lot faster."

The nasty comments are clearly ruthless, but at least they're not on Cate's actual page? In any case, she seems perfectly happy with her new 'do, and that's all that matters.
