Catelynn Lowell Shares Fake Pregnancy News With Sonogram and Faces Backlash for Clickbait
Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell is back to sharing clickbait, and it's seriously angering her fans.
Just last week, the MTV personality caught heat for sharing a post on Twitter and Instagram in which she insinuated that a member of her family had passed away, calling it a "tragic death." Considering she had already posted the sad news of her and husband Tyler Baltierra's dog passing days prior, fans were under the impression this had to be someone else. But of course, when people followed her call to the #LinkInBio, the article was about her Dobermann Caesar's passing.
Catelynn Lowell Sonogram
Catelynn has since deleted the posts, but now is making a similar move, sharing a photo of a sonogram to both Twitter and Instagram in what appears to be a pregnancy announcement. The clickbait caption reads, "#LinkInbio... it seems the PREGNANCY rumors have started to appear again... so it’s finally time we share our EXCITING NEWS." As of Dec. 4, she has deleted the posts.
Is Catelynn Lowell Pregnant?
Sounds fully like a pregnancy announcement, right? Well, if you know the Teen Mom star's regular social media tactics, you probably know better. If you click the link, it leads to an old article by OK! Magazine from Oct. 7, which detailed Catelynn's hypothetical Instagram Story about her next gender reveal party. In a since-deleted post, the text read, "If I get pregnant again and pink confetti comes out of my gender reveal balloon I'm knocking the whole food table over... Party over everybody go home."
The funny part is, Catelynn even spoke out after this Instagram Story, clarifying that her and Tyler are not expecting. "I am not pregnant and we are using birth control," she confirmed in mid-October. "But when we do decide to have another child, we are hoping for a boy. If we are meant to have all girls, then that's just fine too!"
So now you can see why many fans are mad about Catelynn's latest post. She (of course) disabled comments on her Instagram, but her tweet received replies such as, "Total clickbait. Old article talking about the possibility of having a 4th child and saying she'd be pissed if it was another girl. Something her girls will all love to read when they are older."
Another replied with a simple, "Unfollowing." A third added, "Quit it with the clickbait already."
It seems Catelynn is losing followers with each misleading post, but will this actually make her stop? Doubt it.
