With the bushfires in Australia continuing to wreak havoc, people are doubling up on their efforts to help out. And Chris Hemsworth, who is an Australian by birth, is really jumping in to help. The Avengers star announced on Instagram that he was donating $1 million to help fire and rescue efforts in his home country.

Hemsworth also invited others to do the same and contribute whatever amount they could, explaining in his caption:

"Every penny counts so whatever you can muster up is greatly appreciated. In my bio I’ve added links to support the fire fighters [sic], organisations and charities who are working flat out to provide support and relief during this devastating and challenging time."

The link, which you can find here, leads to fifteen different organizations where people can donate, including the Australian Red Cross, Wildlife Warriors, Western Australia Fire & Emergency Services, and more.

Red Cross Australia already commented on Hemsworth's Instagram, saying, "We are blown away by your support. We cannot thank you enough Chris Hemsworth." Even Jason Momoa jumped in the comments and asked for some advice, writing, "Which one bro?" Fans got excited and responded back, many suggesting Red Cross Australia.

It's wonderful to see celebrities and fans alike getting involved in helping those affected by the tragic fires in Australia. There's so much damage that's already been done, so every little bit helps.
