Thor's Chris Hemsworth pokes fun at his 'superhero choices' in throwback photo of himself as child

It turned out Chris Hemsworth wasn't always a fan of Thor!

In honor of his 39th birthday on Friday, the Australian actor took a trip down memory lane by posting a throwback photo of himself as a child grinning from ear to ear wearing a Batman costume.

"My younger self would be so disappointed in my superhero choices 🦇 ⚡️," he wrote in the Instagram caption. Check out the post below!

The post revealed Hemsworth — known for depicting the beloved God of Thunder superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over a decade — was a fan of the iconic DC Comics character during his younger days.

The freshly turned 39-year-old also later took to his social media to share a wholesome video of the special "birthday cake" his three kids, India Rose, 10, and twins Sasha and Tristan, both 8, presented him with for his special day, which the actor called the "best cake ever".
