Chris Hemsworth Reveals His First Job Was Cleaning Out Breast Pumps

With the premiere of both of Avengers: Endgame and Men in Black: International, leading man Chris Hemsworth is enjoying a particularly lucrative moment in his career, which would only be solidified with his rumored appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, a recent interview revealed that Hemsworth’s first foray into the working world was far more humble: in his first job, he cleaned out breast pumps.
The revelation came, according to E! News, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, when Hemsworth played a game of True Confessions with host Fallon and fellow guest Kumail Nanjiani. The game involved reading a shocking revelation contained within an envelope, and answering questions for the other two players to help them determine whether it was true or not. Hemsworth’s confession was that his first job was cleaning breast pumps.
“I was 14 at the time," Hemsworth said when Nanjiani asked for details. "It was repairing them as well, occasionally...any pump, you know, there's a motor with a belt, like a rubber belt for the suction."
Fallon, incredulous, asked whether the pumps were for human and animal breasts, to which Hemsworth answered that they were for human breasts--pharmacies, he said, would rent out the pumps, and he would clean the milk from them when they were returned.
Ultimately, neither Fallon nor Nanjiani believed that the revelation was true--only for Hemsworth to reveal that it was. Nanjiani, in disbelief, asked two follow-up questions: “Do the women who used these breast pumps now know that Chris Hemsworth once cleaned out their breast pumps? Can you buy them on eBay?"
The answers to these questions have not been immediately clear, but we hope that somewhere in Hemsworth’s homeland of Australia, many women are beginning to wonder whether or not they were privileged enough to have used a pump with the Hemsworth touch. Only time will tell.
