Companies Begin to Pull 'Teen Mom 2' Advertisements After David Eason Kills Jenelle Evans' Dog
Former Teen Mom 2 star David Eason is defending his cruel actions when he allegedly beat, shot, and killed wife Jenelle Evans' dog--and the whole world is reacting. Between the tons of fans who have taken to social media to rally for David to face consequences, companies who have supported the MTV series are starting to back out of their deals.
According to The Ashley, several companies who normally air their advertisements during Teen Mom 2 have come out and stated they will no longer be doing so. The pet health company Greenies replied to a tweet making them aware of the situation, which also claimed many of the Teen Mom stars might be mistreating their animals.
"Like you, we have zero tolerance for animal cruelty and are looking into this ad placement," Greenies replied.
Laundry detergent company Persil ProClean said they are definitely pulling their ads from the MTV show, writing, "We are no longer advertising on Teen Mom 2."
On top of advertisers, PETA has also issued a statement on the tragic incident on social media. They wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption:
"People who abuse animals typically don’t stop there. There’s concern for other animals and humans in the house as well. There is no excuse for animal abuse, and we hope David Eason will be prohibited from owning any other animals in the future."
We're waiting for any official statement from MTV on the whole ordeal.
