Courteney Cox is Binging 'Friends' in Quarantine—Here's What She Thinks About the Show
By Rachel Reed
The only thing that might be better than rewatching a beloved series like Friends could be learning what the stars who made the series so famous think about it today. Luckily for us, Courteney Cox is giving us the kind of commentary we've been longing for all these years, reports Today.
Cox is now binging the show just like the rest of us, but it's not just because she's a huge fan. On the contrary, the actress admitted on The Ellen DeGeneres show that she didn't really remember much of her time on the show, explaining, "It's really sad. I don't remember...My memory is not great when it comes to fun times. I only remember pain." So, after this admission, she decided to take matters in her own hands and use her free time in quarantine to look back at the iconic comedy.
While speaking to Ellen in the video below, Cox shared that she is still only on the first season, but she loves the Thanksgiving episode because she got to play younger version of her character. "I loved playing overweight Monica," she explained. "I felt so free. I could dance, and just dance and have no problem at all."
Onto less pleasant (but not so surprising) topics, the actress also confirmed that the reunion show hasn't been filmed yet due to COVID-19 safety concerns, explaining, "We were supposed to do the show at the middle of March and now we don't know when we are doing it." Fortunately for the Central Perk gang, the dedicated fanbase is patiently waiting. That's what friends are for, after all.
