It’s been five long years since the last episode of NBC’s Community, and actor Danny Pudi has made the most of that time. Danny won major accolades for his role as Abed Nadir on the show, including three Critics’ Choice Awards nominations for best supporting actor in a comedy series. It’s no wonder he hasn’t had any trouble keeping busy since the cult classic drew to a close.

The year 2017 was a big one for the actor. He started playing Teddy on the NBC sitcom Powerless, which was set in the DC Universe and ran for one season. He also voiced Brainy Smurf in Smurfs: The Lost Village, and started voicing Huey in the Disney series DuckTales, which is still going strong. In 2018, he began voicing Tiny in Netflix’s Harvey Street Kids, and most recently appeared in the Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet.

According to Chicago Magazine, Danny is still pursuing his original passion, sketch comedy, in his hometown. He even performed at the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival in Jan. 2020, with his old friend Parvesh Cheena.

It looks like Danny has also built a full and rewarding family life. He married his college sweetheart, Bridget Showalter, in 2004, and the couple welcomed twins into the world in 2012.
