You may know Darren Barnet as the hunky jock from Netflix's Never Have I Ever, but the actor is already looking ahead to his next role. That being said, the part he has in mind would be very different from his breakout gig.

While speaking to ComicBook.com, the actor revealed that he'd love to step into the shoes of the Joker one day. When asked if there was any franchise or comic book character he'd like to portray in the future, and he had just the answer. "You know, I would love one day to play some kind of spin-off of the Joker, a young joker, something kind of dark and mysterious," he told the site.

Barnet continued with, "I know this isn't a franchise per se, but if they made anything having to do with Fight Club where I could play a character similar to Tyler Durden played by Brad Pitt, that would be an absolute dream come true."

For now, Barnet is focusing on his latest role as Wilfred "Freddy" Malick on Agents of S.H.I.E.LD., although he admits he was far from being a comic fanatic while growing up. "I wish as a kid, I was more into comic books because it's such a rich history and I'm a fan of every Marvel movie. What's really been interesting to me is how deep the universe goes," he added.

Still, it sounds like Barnet is ready to take on any exciting role that comes his way!
