The Bachelor alum Demi Burnett is not happy with the media right now. After she appeared on the Almost Famous podcast with Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti, she has some words for the websites who are taking her words out of context.

Demi spent a good portion of her interview reflecting on her breakup with Kristian Haggerty, but that's not the only thing she talked about. After headlines apparently made it the central focus of their coverage, Bachelor in Paradise star spoke out. She shared a photo to her Instagram Story with her hand in her head, writing, "When you do a really deep interview that was really hard, scary, vulnerable, and emotional and the press chooses to pick out the most negative parts to make a headline."

Demi also explained why she went on the record with her emotional story, saying, "Just trying to open up and admit my mistakes but also trying to share my early life with y'all. And that's not easy for me."

Demi and Kristian announced their breakup via Instagram in Nov. 2019, and though they didn't share the specifics, they made it clear they still had a lot of love for one another. "What has always been at the forefront of our relationship is love and care for one another. Our priority is doing what is best for us," Demi wrote in one part of her post.

Now that Demi is ready to speak out about the sudden breakup, hopefully fans hear her whole story, not just the negative parts!
