We'll truly never get tired of a galaxy far, far away.

As the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will conclude the Skywalker saga we've all been keeping up with since 1997 (or at least since we were kids), fans have been curious what the next venture will be for the film universe. With Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss slated to create a new trilogy, as well as The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson doing the same, we know we're in for tons of awesome content to come. But what exactly?

Well, we've just gotten our first details on the next Star Wars films to come after The Rise of Skywalker, which hits theaters this December, and it looks like we won't have to wait too long for more adventures in space.

According to Variety, three new untitled films have been announced, with the first debuting on Dec. 16, 2022, the second on Dec. 20, 2024, and the third slated for a Dec. 18, 2026 release. While we will have a three-year break between movies after the Skywalker saga concludes this year, it's hardly the long hiatus we were under the impression we'd be facing.

"Disney is poised to dominate around the holidays for the foreseeable future," Variety reports, also referring to the fact that four more Avatar films were also announced today, with release dates going into 2027.

We can't wait to see what else is out there as the Star Wars franchise lives on.
