Do Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen Get Together in the 'Game of Thrones' Books?

If you're a fan of the HBO smash hit Game of Thrones, then you know what it's like to be totally invested in some crazy storylines. From Cersei and Jaime Lannister's insectuous relationship, to Bran Stark's warging ability, this is a show you've got to see to believe. And with the final season coming in a few short months, fans are currently trying to figure out what will happen between many of the characters, namely Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.

In the Season 7 finale, Jon and Daenerys finally have sex after episodes of extreme sexual tension. However, by the time they do get together, viewers had just found out that they're actually related. So. Awkward.

But as the show has gone beyond the books now, many fans have been wondering if Jon and Daenerys also get together in George RR Martin's book series, A Song of Ice and Fire. The short answer? No, they don't.

But the long answer is that while they haven't started a romance yet, there have been many clues that they will eventually. It's actually believed their relationship was outlined by Martin when telling Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss the entire story prior to the show being made. But in the book series so far, Jon and Daenerys haven't even met yet.

The final season of Game of Thrones premieres on April 14, and while we all have tons of fan theories as to how the couple will find out they're related (if they do at all), we'll all just have to wait and see. And beyond the series, Martin has apparently been working on the next book, The Winds of Winter, although on a much slower pace than fans would like.

If you're still shipping Jon and Dany, we don't really blame you.
