There seems to be a tradition in the Star Wars franchise of famous celebrities hiding behind the masks and costumes of various small roles in the blockbuster films—usually as a Stormtrooper. The most recent movie, The Rise of Skywalker, kept it up, but fans are only just beginning to find out what celebs participated in the final installment of the 42-year saga.

ComicBook.com reports that Ed Sheeran's part in a galaxy far, far away has now been discovered. The Grammy-winning musician apparently donned a cosmic costume for a small role in The Rise of Skywalker, but it wasn’t for the Dark Side. As announced by the recently released Oh My Disney special, the singer played the very unique alien member of The Resistance pictured below.

This isn’t the first time Sheeran has made a cameo in a large franchise. In season 7 of Game of Thrones, he plays the cameo role of Ed (no one hurt themselves there, did they?), a singing soldier in the Lannister army. The moment was widely criticized by fans, even though it was meant to be a gift from creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff.

Maybe all the teasing from GoT made Sheeran want to hide under an alien costume for The Rise of Skywalker, now out in theaters.
