Fan Art Sees Bill Skarsgård as the Joker in Robert Pattinson's 'The Batman'

Matt Reeves’ upcoming The Batman has received considerable buzz since its casting of Robert Pattinson in the titular role--though thus far, little is known about the film beyond its main star. This weekend, new fan art imagined what the movie might look like with a certain classic DC villain, seeing Bill Skarsgård as the Joker.
As We Got This Covered reports, artist William Gray posted a photo on Instagram that imagines Pattinson’s Batman alongside a hypothetical Skarsgård Joker, presumably drawing inspiration from Skarsgård’s portrayal of murderous clown monster Pennywise in It.
While Pattinson’s casting has received some backlash from fans who associate him with the Twilight series, many have expressed enthusiasm and have noted the actor's strong performances, including the film The Lost City of Z. In particular, Michael E. Uslan, The Batman's producer, has noted the similarity of the situation to the casting of Heath Ledger as the Joker and Michael Keaton as Batman, advising fans to reserve judgment until they see the film.
In any case, we’re fascinated to see how Pattinson’s Batman will look--and which villain will be joining him in the movie.
