Farrah Abraham's Followers Are Calling PETA to Step in After She's Accused of Animal Cruelty With Disturbing Post
Another day, another Farrah Abraham incident. The most recent event to spark people's concern involves Farrah's two dogs, Cupcake and Boo, who happen to have their own Instagram page, run by the star herself. The page seemed harmless enough, until she shared a video which showed Cupcake walking around with a ribbon tied around her mouth as a pseudo-muzzle, as reported by The Ashley.
Farrah actually commented on the muzzle in her caption when she wrote, "[F]or those who do not know what dog training muzzles are go to your nearest pet store and learn more and why they can be helpful in training." It's also a little odd to see both dogs dyed bright blue and pink. To be fair, there are pet-safe hair dyes out there, but it seems a little unsettling to have such unnaturally-colored dogs walking around in addition to the muzzle problem. Someone left a comment about the hair dye, specifically, writing:
"You do know that dying the dogs fur may be toxic for them. Just because they sell dog dye doesn’t mean you have to use it. Be a responsible pet owner and you won’t get backlash. It’s not hating. It’s people genuinely worried about them."
And of course, the ribbon-muzzle is really ticking people off. The comments range from annoyed to furious, and are getting so bad that many started tagging PETA and other animal organizations on the post. "@spcala @peta @aspca Please take these poor dogs out of this home before Sophia harms another one and Farrah continues to abuse. This is so f**king sad," one wrote, while another added, "Why would you do this to your dog? [crying emoji]." A third went on to plead:
@lapdhq please do a house check on this terrible human. She very clearly abuses her animals. I wonder if she also ties her kids up when they talk too much?!? You should not be able to have children OR animals. Dogs bark, if you don’t like it, DON[']T HAVE A DOG. It’s that simple. @cnn @abcnews @enews @nbcnews please do something about this @lapdhq !!!!!!"
While Farrah is clearly trying to act like this is normal, it's very alarming and distressing to see her dog's mouth tied shut. We can only hope what's best for the dogs will be everyone's top priority—PETA and ASPCA or not.
