Farrah Abraham Hits Back at Haters Criticizing Daughter Sophia for Wearing Makeup

It's no secret that people are always very critical of Farrah Abraham's parenting, but it looks like the TV personality has finally had enough. After facing extensive backlash on Instagram, the former Teen Mom OG star is sticking up for her daughter and what she allows her to do.

It all started when Farrah took Sophia to BeautyCon in Los Angeles. As the event was about cosmetics, the star allowed her 10-year-old daughter to wear a full face of makeup. But despite the theme of the day, people still weren't having it. In posts on Instagram, Farrah received comments such as, "Too much makeup on Sophia. It just looks like over kill [sic]" and "why don't you put some more makeup on your daughter?? NOT!! You are so tacky!!!"

Well, Farrah weighed in on the criticism while speaking with HollywoodLife on the red carpet of the event. This is hardly the first time the reality star has been called out for putting "too much" makeup on Sophia, so it seems like she already had an answer prepared for the haters.

"I would hope that Sophia can express herself however she wants in a safe and happy place," Farrah shared. "She doesn’t need to feel ashamed for wearing makeup at any age. It’s normal, it’s healthy, it’s beautiful, it’s great."

Farrah also told HollywoodLife that she's aware she would get mom-shamed no matter what she does, so she's always standing her ground. "It’s a good time to teach her about cleaning her face and good skincare with it, which I really love," added. "As a mom, I just want to set her up for success."

The mom-of-one concluded her thoughts perfectly: "And I don’t have time for those haters."

Although we agree with critics that Farrah certainly does controversial things from time to time, we don't think allowing Sophia to play around with makeup for big events is the end of the world. There are other things to worry about!
