It appears one of our favorite sitcom stars has gotten himself into a bit of legal trouble.

69-year-old actor Gerard McSorley from Omagh, United Kingdom is best known for his roles as Cathal Brugha in Michael Collins, Michael Gallagher in Omagh, and Detective Lynch in Trapped. But he might be remembered most fondly for playing the titular role in Father Ted, the comedic sitcom which ran for three seasons between 1995 and 1998.

According to Belfast Telegraph, a warrant for McSorley has been issued after he failed to appear at the Letterkenny District Court. He was reportedly arrested on Nov. 26 for disturbing the peace. Additionally, the actor was reportedly charged for damaging property while behind bars at the Letterkenny Garda Station.

McSorley has not spoken out publicly on the warrant, but as the publication reports, this isn't the first time he's come into trouble with the law. Reportedly, he's been convicted previously for "a number of public order offences."
