First-Ever Bachelor Alex Michel: Where is He Now?

It’s been practically a lifetime since Alex Michel starred in the inaugural season of The Bachelor. Seriously, if things had worked out differently between Alex and Amanda Marsh, they could’ve had adult kids by now. In reality, Alex and Amanda called it quits after a short period of dating. Just what Alex has been up to for the last 18 years is a bit of a mystery.

In the 2016 Bachelor live after show, Chris Harrison actually joked that he had no idea where Alex was—"Witness protection? I don't know." He knew that the first-ever Bachelor had last been spotted in New York, but that was about it. Based on Alex’s LinkedIn page, it looks like he was the head of strategy at Microsoft in London around that time. 

Going off that same profile, he now works in Washington, D.C., as the managing director at a consulting firm. Maybe. The guy doesn’t have any other social media—no Instagram, no Facebook, nothing. Truly a unique accomplishment in Bachelor Nation history. 

As for Amanda Marsh? She’s married to a childhood friend, Jay Caldwell, with whom she has a daughter named Chloe.
