'Game of Thrones' Actor Explains What Bran Was Doing During the Battle of Winterfell [SPOILERS]

This story includes spoilers for 'Game of Thrones' Season 8, Episode 3, "The Long Night."
Game of Thrones fans are still having a hard time dealing with the turn of events in the Season 8 episode"The Long Night," but one of the elements that is still a mystery is Bran Stark's mental whereabouts during the huge battle. The actor behind him, Isaac Hempstead Wright, is now here to explain it all to you. And just a warning: his explanation is pretty disappointing.
What was Bran doing when he warged into the ravens, after his cryptic "I'm going to go now" line to Theon Greyjoy? We've all been coming up with intricate theories, but the actor is shooting them down. "As far as I understand it, he's just in the ravens," Wright said to The New York Times.
"He's just keeping tabs on the battle," Wright continued. "But having lots of shots of ravens flying around wouldn't be much of interest! And it would be pretty impractical for him to be like, 'Hey, Theon, can you go run over there and tell this guy to get out of the way of that guy?'" Well, we were hoping for something a bit more complex than that.
As the Three-Eyed Raven, Bran was able to see the creation of this undead leader and followed his journey, so the long glaring look Bran shares with the Night King apparently allowed them to have a moment where everything came full circle.
"Bran saw the creation of the Night King, or the first White Walker, or whatever," Hempstead-Wright continued. "He realizes that he was once just a normal guy who... didn't ask to become this raving, crazy ice killer... He was trapped into this Night King's body, and programmed to kill everyone."
And alas, all of our fan theories are out the window. But we're still holding out hope that Bran's story is not done for good--his powers must mean something more, right?
