The beloved series ended almost a year ago, but fans still love a good round of "Where are they Now?," Game of Thrones edition. As it turns out, they're not alone.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Kristofer Hivju has some theories of his own. The Norwegian actor has taken on a number of exciting new gigs since the final season wrapped, including the Scandinavian series Twin, a passion project set to stream this month on MHz Choice. Still, he's always down to reminisce, noting that the GoT cast’s gathering at the SAG Awards served as their unofficial goodbye.

“It hadn’t felt like it’s over,” he shared. "You ended when you wrapped, and then you ended when it airs, and then you ended when there’s some awards shows. But this felt like the last last thing. It feels good. I gave everything to Tormund. I love the direction that the character went, with falling in love and becoming more of a comic relief buddy. He started out as an antagonist on the show and he ended up as a big bear.”

When asked where he thinks Jon Snow and Tormund might be today, Hivju dished, “Jon is in a huge depression, so he needs Tormund to cheer him up, by the fire, warming each other. Tormund is pretty heartbroken himself, so maybe they can bond over that.”

Maybe Hivju is onto something. The solution to saying goodbye and to the divisive ending might be for all of us to keep imagining each characters' next chapter.
