'Game of Thrones' Actress Nathalie Emmanuel Wants to Be in Benioff and Weiss' 'Star Wars' Trilogy

Though Game of Thrones ended about two months ago, fans and creators have already begun shifting attention to the next production from creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff: Star Wars. This week, one former Thrones actor, Nathalie Emmanuel, expressed special excitement for the project, saying that she wants to be in the trilogy.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Emmanuel said of Weiss and Benioff’s take on the franchise, "If they want to cast me in Star Wars, I will be totally fine with that. Absolutely."
Emmanuel also added that she had particularly fond feelings on working with the creators in general. “They're awesome. I love those guys. They're really good guys, and very talented writers, and I feel very privileged to have worked with them," she said. "They're really good men, and I definitely feel kind of sad that this whole chapter is over. I'm so excited to see them fly, because they did something that is damn near impossible, and they made the whole world fall in love with their show."
As ET notes, Benioff and Weiss were tapped to direct an upcoming sequel trilogy of Star Wars films following the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga in this December’s The Rise of Skywalker. All reports, including one from Daisy Ridley, have suggested that the new series will be separate from the previous entries and will not include characters from the first nine films.
Though we’re still a little emotional about the fate that befell Emmanuel’s character in the final season of Game of Thrones, we do know that we’d love to see her in another collaboration with Benioff and Weiss--and we’ll see if that dream comes to fruition when their first Star Wars film hits theaters in 2022.
