'Game of Thrones' Actress Sophie Turner is Trying to Get Involved in the 'Lizzie McGuire' Reboot
As if we needed more of a reason to love Sophie Turner, she totally drunk posted to her Instagram Story this week and shared an epic announcement.
After making fun of TikTok, bragging about Leonardo DiCaprio walking by her at the 2020 SAG Awards, and congratulating the film Parasite on their win, Sophie announced that she wants to be in the new Lizzie McGuire reboot set to be released on Disney+.
The Game of Thrones star stated in the video above while lying in bed in the dark:
“So, the Lizzie McGuire show has been put on hold. I am obviously devastated like the rest of us. But I’m pretty sure… like is Miranda appearing in this season? Because I’m here, I’m available, I am your new Miranda. Lizzie McGuire people, please reach out to me.”
Lalaine Vergara-Paras, who originally played the character of Miranda, has not been confirmed to be a part of the show’s revival. She also didn’t appear in the film, 2003’s The Lizzie McGuire Movie.
It was announced earlier this month that production had been put on hold after the series’ original showrunner, Terri Minsky, left the project. A Disney representative stated at the time, “After filming two episodes, we concluded that we need to move in a different creative direction and are putting a new lens on the series.”
Could Sansa be Hilary Duff’s new on-screen BFF? If Disney knows what’s good for them, the answer should be a resounding “YES!”
