'Game of Thrones' Fans Are Seriously Mad at Jon After That Ghost Scene in Latest Episode [SPOILERS]
By Olivia Montine
This story includes spoilers for 'Game of Thrones' Season 8, Episode 4, "The Last of the Starks."
Even with a show like Game of Thrones, viewers seem to be a lot more sympathetic to fluffy creatures (dogs in particular) than they are to humans.
One of the most emotional moments to come out of last night's episode for many fans was not Brienne being ditched by Jaime or Sam telling Jon he was going to name his child after him, but Jon failing to say a proper goodbye to his direwolf, Ghost, before sending him north with Tormund.
Let's just say--fans were NOT happy that Jon so easily left his companion behind without so much as a pet on the back.
We have to admit--it's difficult not to feel bad for the cute little guy whose sole mission was to be at Jon's side.
Jon had the direwolf since he was a puppy, and we were nervous enough that he wouldn't make it out of the Battle of Winterfell alive. But he did survive, just to be heartbroken by his owner.
Jon's actions last night really did not go over well with animal lovers--and Game of Thrones clearly knows how to hit the audience where it hurts. Ygritte may have put it best--Jon Snow really knows nothing.
