'Game of Thrones' Star Posts Sweet Instagram Tribute After Their Character's Death [SPOILERS]

This story includes spoilers for 'Game of Thrones' Season 8, Episode 5, "The Bells."
Game of Thrones fans never knew the day would come where they could cry over Cersei Lannister. But for a few, that day came during Sunday's episode "The Bells." As we watched Cersei plead to live in the arms of Jaime Lannister as the castle crumbled on top of them, some fans got emotional. It wasn't quite the death we'd expect for her.
Cersei has been such a strong-headed character for so long, it was shocking to see her go out the way she did. But if one thing is true it's that Lena Headey loved to play her, as she just proved in a recent Instagram post.
Headey posted a photo of herself this week with the caption beginning with, "There she goes. It’s been fun, and bonkers. I loved her. I am grateful for the opportunity."
Since then, Headey has also posted some pretty hilarious behind-the-scenes photos of herself and co-stars Pilou Asbæk, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, to commemorate her time on Game of Thrones.
Coster-Waldau posted his own tribute and thank you to Headey in a post as well.
Right now, Cersei's looking like the good queen compared to Daenerys Targaryen, but we'll see what happens in the series finale this Sunday.
