'Game of Thrones' Stars Kit Harington and Richard Madden Reuniting for Marvel's 'The Eternals'
Our favorite Kings in the North are coming together once again!
Among the many awesome announcements made at this year's D23 Expo, including a new Lizzie McGuire series and a Toy Story spinoff all about Forky, there came news that Kit Harington of Game of Thrones fame would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans quickly started speculating who the 32-year-old star would play, with many rallying for him to become the new Wolverine.
Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter, his MCU role is just as exciting as you'd hope, as he'll be joining the cast of Marvel's The Eternals as superhero Dane Whitman/Black Knight. As confirmed at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Richard Madden, also from Game of Thrones, will star in the film as well. Other impressive actors on the lineup include Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Gemma Chan. Yeah, this is kind of unreal.
Harington and Madden famously played the roles of Jon Snow and Robb Stark, respectively, in the HBO hit show. While Madden was killed off in arguably the most heartbreaking episode of the whole series back in Season 3, he went on to score high-profile roles, even winning a Golden Globe for his leading performance in Bodyguard.
Fans are, of course, loving the upcoming reunion.
We just cannot control our excitement right now.
