Grease star Olivia Newton-John has died at the age of 73
Dame Olivia Newton-John, star of iconic '70s flick Grease, had died aged 73. The actress rose to fame portraying Sandy across from John Travolta's Danny Zuko. John, with whom she starred in Grease, writes on Instagram: "I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again."
Her Grease co-star also added that she "made all of our lives so much better".
The actress and singer's husband, John Easterling, said she "passed away peacefully at her ranch in southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends".
Newton-John played shy, quiet Sandy in the 1978 movie adaptation of the musical, while Travolta was Danny Zuko, leader of the T-Birds.
Since the news of her passing tributes have been flooding social media from celebrities, friends, and fans.
Actress Stockard Channing - who played Rizzo in Grease - said: "I don't know if I've known a lovelier human being.
