Hannah Simone From 'New Girl': Where is She Now?

Hannah Simone went on a long and winding journey as Cece in the Fox hit sitcom New Girl. She built a committed fanbase while on the show, and we found ourselves wondering what she's been up to since the series finale. No surprise, Hannah's kept pretty busy.

Like Cece, Hannah is a style obsessive. In fact, her mother was a fashion designer, so it’s fitting that, post-New Girl, Hannah entered into a fashion partnership with T.J. Maxx.

In 2018, Hannah almost starred in a reboot of the '80s superhero show The Greatest American Hero on ABC, but the network never picked up the series. Show biz is fickle, isn’t it? Fortunately, ABC ordered another pilot from Hannah, according to Deadline. This one is a semi-autobiographical comedy based in-part on the actress’ own upbringing. As if that weren’t enough, she’s also been tapped to star in a new comedy pilot on CBS, which she’ll co-produce. One way or another, you’ll be seeing more of Hannah soon.

I’ve totally lost it. It’s over. Everything is wrong with this. It’s annoying not cute. It’s still a dubsmash and not a tik tok. I’m enjoying it way too much. BUT the fact that I didn’t smash my face into Jesse’s and despite him trying to be irritated he smiles at the end so it kinda makes our quarantine biodome feel slightly better. Of course, Hannah has hardly forgotten her New Girl days. Speaking with Fashionista last year, she summed up her feelings about being on the show. “It's funny, we all started that show never having met. Which is also the premise of the show, that none of them have met except for Cece and Jess,” she explained. “We all grew and fell in love with each other on and off camera.” In other words, it seems like Hannah misses New Girl as much as any devoted fan.
