HBO Max Confirmed to Be Home to Nearly All DC Live-Action Movies
DC fans will soon be able to have the most epic film binges of all time. CBR reports that HBO Max, which is set to be launched next spring, will now include nearly every live-action DC film of the last 40 years. The news was announced at this week’s investors event, and then later confirmed on their Twitter account.
The network is not just obtaining the newer iterations of the films. According to the tweet, HBO Max will also include “every #SUPERMAN and #BATMAN movie from the last 40 years.” This means that nearly every live-action DC film ever made, with the exception of maybe one or two, will be available for subscribers.
For those who prefer the darker side of the DC, don’t worry. HBO Max also tweeted that the villains are part of the deal, as well. They write, “It's not all about the heroes, either. Todd Phillips' @JokerMovie is shattering box office records, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. Don’t miss Joker in theaters and it will be available to stream by HBO on HBO Max in 2020.”
Be sure to check out all of the DC films available when the service debuts in May 2020.
