Here's Reportedly How Kylie Jenner and Sofia Richie Just Got So Close

You don't have to be the biggest Kylie Jenner fan in the world to notice that Scott Disick's girlfriend Sofia Richie has become one of the members of her posse, but you might be wondering how it all happened.

The makeup mogul and model were actually friends back in the day, prior to Sofia's relationship with Scott. However, there seemed to be some sort of falling out, and then presumably awkwardness when she came back into the picture with Kourtney Kardashian's ex and baby daddy. Though Kylie has never spoken out publicly on Sofia and Scott, the Kardashian clan seemed less than thrilled about the relationship at first.

But fast forward to last year, and Sofia was happily welcomed into the group by everyone, Kourtney included. More recently, the 20-year-old daughter of Lionel Richie has been hanging out with Kylie a whole lot, and sources say it actually has everything to do with Jordyn Woods.

With Kylie's friendship with Jordyn ending earlier this year, E! News reports that Sofia was a great source of support for the youngest self-made billionaire. "Sofia really helped Kylie through the emotional roller coaster during the Jordyn situation," an insider tells the site. "She was really there for her and took her side through everything. The situation with Jordyn made them closer."

But how does Kourtney feel about Sofia being so close to her younger sister? Apparently, she loves it. "Kourtney is thrilled that Kylie has found a bond with Sofia. She thinks it's great for Kylie and loves that everyone can get along and spend time together," the source also says. "She has seen firsthand how much of a support system Sofia has been for Kylie, and it makes Kourtney feel even better about her dynamic with Sofia as well. There is no more awkwardness or tension like there was a year ago."

As Sofia has been dating Scott for nearly two years, it's about time the whole family embraced her. And if she's there for Kylie through her tough times, that's an added plus.
