Here's Who the Cast of 'American Horror Story' is Dating and Married to in Real Life

American Horror Story is returning for its ninth season in September, as the anthology series continues with a new theme: "1984." While looking back at all the great (and terrifying) seasons, we're going through the many stars' relationships. As we wait for the newest installment to premiere, here's who the cast is dating and married to in real life--throughout the show's run.

Sarah Paulson

Unfortunately, AHS icon Sarah Paulson will not be featured in the new season, which marks the first time she'll be absent since the show's debut. Of course, we all have high hopes she'll return for the 10th season.

The 44-year-old actress has been dating Holland Taylor publicly since 2015 after the 76-year-old actress slid into Paulson's DMs. The Golden Globe winner has previously defended the couple's 32-year age gap, telling People, "If anyone wants to spend any time thinking I’m strange for loving the most spectacular person on the planet, then that’s their problem."

Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts famously dated AHS star Evan Peters on and off from 2012 to 2019, even getting engaged. The 28-year-old actress is now believed to be dating actor Garrett Hedlund, as the pair are seen out together frequently. However, Roberts has been adamant on how important her privacy is when it comes to her split from Evans and presumed new relationship. She told Cosmopolitan in May, "I never want to talk about relationships I'm in or that are ending or have ended. It's hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience."

Roberts will star in AHS: 1984, however Peters, who is currently single, will be absent from the season.

Cody Fern

Cody Fern, 31, has been rumored to be dating model Eric Smith since 2017, with neither parties publicly confirming a relationship. However, there are multiple photos of them being cuddly and cute on Instagram, and fans are certain they're an item. Fern will star in AHS: 1984.

Denis O'Hare

57-year-old actor Denis O'Hare has been married to Hugo Redwood since 2011, with the pair adopting a son named Declan. Redwood is also an actor, featured in the 2004 film Yesterday's Not Tomorrow. As for AHS: 1984, it has not been confirmed yet if O'Hare will make an appearance or not.

Frances Conroy

Frances Conroy, 65, has been married to fellow actor Jan Munroe since 1992. Munroe is known for his roles in Catch Me if You Can (2002) and A Few Good Men (1992). Conroy has not been confirmed to be appearing in AHS: 1984.

Lily Rabe

Lily Rabe has been dating actor Hamish Linklater since 2013, with the pair welcoming their first child in 2017, a baby girl. You might recognize Linklater for his roles in The Big Short (2015), Battleship (2012), and more. It's not known yet if the 37-year-old actress will appear in AHS: 1984.

Angela Bassett

Angela Bassett and actor husband Courtney B. Vance together are one of the biggest power couples in Hollywood, getting married back in 1997. The pair share two children together. 60-year-old Bassett is not confirmed for AHS: 1984.

Taissa Farmiga

Taissa Farmiga is dating screenwriter/director Hadley Klein, who has worked on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008), Good Morning Rabbit (2010) and Any Tom, Dick, or Harry (2015). The pair are rumored to be engaged, though neither parties have confirmed it. Farmiga, 24, has not been announced in the AHS: 1984 cast.

Wes Bentley

Actor Wes Bentley, 40, has been married to TV producer Jacqui Swedberg since 2010. The couple shares two children together, a son named Charles and a daughter named Brooklyn. Swedberg is known for her work on the series Corner Gas (2007-2009). Bentley has not been confirmed for AHS: 1984.

Billie Lourd

Billie Lourd, who happens to be the daughter of the late Carrie Fisher, has been dating Austen Rydell on and off since 2016. The pair have continued to post sweet photos of one another on social media over the years. Rydell is also an actor, featured in various shorts, among a few other projects. Lourd, 27, will be one of the stars of AHS: 1984.

Leslie Grossman

Leslie Grossman, 47, has been married to John Bronson since 2000, and the pair shares one child together. The couple remains pretty private, however Grossman occasionally shares photos of the two on social media. The actress will be appearing in AHS: 1984.

Finn Wittrock

34-year-old actor Finn Wittrock married Sarah Roberts in 2014. The couple is currently expecting their first child, with reports coming out of Roberts' pregnancy in Dec. 2018. Wittrock has not been confirmed for AHS: 1984.

Matthew Morrison

American Horror Story newcomer Matthew Morrison, who will appear in the new season, is married to actress Renee Puente. The pair welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in 2017. Fans will recognize Morrison, 40, from Glee (2009-2015).
