'Hollywood's Jake Picking Age, Instagram, Roles: Everything to Know About the Rock Hudson Actor

Jake Picking brings more than plain-and-simple imitation to his portrayal of the legendary actor Rock Hudson in the new Netflix series Hollywood. The Ryan Murphy/Ian Brennan-created series reimagines Hollywood’s golden age as it might have been if people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and women had had access to the reins of power. While Rock Hudson actually remained closeted to the public, in the show, Jake Picking plays him as an out gay man in a relationship with a black screenwriter (Jeremy Pope). The actor joins a cast that also includes Darren Criss, and, legend in her own right, Patti LuPone.

Jake was born March 2, 1991, making him a 29-year-old Pisces. According to the Boston Herald, his dad was stationed abroad in the Army, so Jake was born in Erlangen, Germany, but grew up in Boston.
