Here's How Kylie Jenner Reportedly Really Felt About Drake's 'Side Piece' Line
Drake and Kylie Jenner sparked romance rumors in the fall when the pair were seen hanging out at the rapper's birthday party soon after the makeup mogul's highly-publicized split from Travis Scott. However, sources at the time explained that while Kylie was happy to be spending more time with Drake, the pair were just friends. Then, last week's Night Owl Sound's Instagram Live featured an unreleased song by Drake and Future, which includes the lyrics, "Real s**t, Kylie Jenner, that's a side piece / Yeah, I got 20 motherf**kin' Kylies." Consider my jaw dropped.
He also references other famous women in the song, such as Ky's sister Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and more. As reported by E! News, Drake quickly released a statement after clarifying that the song had actually been recorded several years ago and it was not his intention for any of his friends to feel "disrespected." Although none of the women mentioned in the song have spoken out about it, a source tells E! News that the mom-of-one wasn't all that shocked about the name-drop.
"She has no hard feelings about it. She knew it was old," the insider explained. "Her and Drake are still very good friends and she just laughed it off." The source continued to say that Kylie "appreciated" the fact that Drake was quick to address the public.
As for a potential romance on the horizon, it seems we shouldn't hold our breath. "Drake and Kylie still keep in touch regularly and all is good," a source revealed. Even if their relationship is platonic, perhaps fans can look forward to more collaboration between the pair in the future. A Drake-inspired makeup collection, maybe? Only time will tell!
