Chris Harrison Sets the Record Straight on Whether Clare Crawley's 'Bachelorette' Season is Still Happening or Not
There's still many lingering questions surrounding Clare Crawley's forthcoming season of The Bachelorette. For starters, fans are wondering if Matt James will still be affiliated with the season after the announcement he'll be the next Bachelor, and more importantly, will her shot at love even happen at all?
Thankfully, Chris Harrison took to Instagram to set the record straight. After one fan tagged him to ask, "Is Clare's season cancelled?," he promptly replied. "Absolutely not! Clare's love story is next," The Bachelor franchise host said. The exchange was caught by popular Instagram account @CommentsByCelebs, which you can see below.
It's understandable fans would have worries about the airing of Clare's season. Production has seen delays due to safety concerns surrounding coronavirus, and a set date for the premiere has yet to be released, considering they haven't filmed any of it yet. But in due time, Clare will get her time in the spotlight. One person who probably won't be capturing her heart? Matt James. Although the contestant was set to appear on her season, it was announced on June 12 that he would be leading his own show, becoming the first-ever black bachelor in the entire series run.
Nevertheless, Clare has plenty of suitors lined up. ABC exec Rob Mills told Variety last week, “I think where this is really great for Clare is that every guy who will be on her season will know there is no chance of becoming The Bachelor, so they should really all be there only for Clare." We can't help but agree!
