'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' is Filming at 'The Office's Dunder Mifflin
By Shawnie Hamer
Will our favorite Pennsylvanian people be coming together at Dunder Mifflin?
A girl can dream, right?
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney posted a video to his Instagram on Thursday showing him walking around a set of Always Sunny, which apparently so happens to be the former set of The Office, as reported by CinemaBlend.
In the video, McElhenney picks fun at The Office, saying with a straight face, “Yeah, they’re gone now. They’re off the air…Sorry Steve Carell, I guess your show got cancelled or whatever, but we are still doing ours.”
Though it is unclear if/how the Always Sunny crew is incorporating the Dunder Mifflin gang into their episode, fans can only cross their fingers that it includes a guest appearance from at least one of The Office alums.
CinemaBlend points out how Always Sunny has previously done parody episodes, such as when they recreated a scene from Seinfeld using its cast. Is that the route they will take for this collaboration? Maybe it'll be like McElhenney’s caption states, and the crew moves Paddy’s into the office, most likely to lay low from something seedy they’ve done.
No matter what direction they decide to take (except just using the set and not mentioning The Office at all; don’t do that, guys) Season 14 is sure to be another great installment of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. It arrives on FXX Sept. 25.
