Could Aquaman be hanging up his fins in place of Wolverine’s claws?

According to Screen Rant, it could be the case, but fans would have to wait a long time to see it.

Per SuperBroMovies live from Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio, Texas, when Jason Momoa was asked who, if given his choice, he would want to play in Marvel's movie universe, he replied with Wolverine.

Momoa, who became a household name as rough and gruff Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, seems like a no-brainer for the part. But is it a possibility that Marvel will recruit Momoa as the new Wolverine, or is he contractually obligated to DC’s Aquaman?

Although Disney now owns superheroes such as the X-Men, that doesn't mean the group of mutants will be introduced to the MCU anytime soon. As of now, Marvel Studios doesn't have any concrete plans to bring them in. And as far Momoa reprising the role of Aquaman, the sequel is slated for a 2022 release.

At this point, it is merely speculation as to whether Momoa will jump the DC ship for a Marvel adventure or not. But it's still interesting to know the actor would be down the play the famed mutant.
