Jason Momoa Says Henry Cavill is 'Absolutely Not' Ditching Superman Role
By Kwadar Ray
One of the biggest mysteries in the DCEU is whether or not Henry Cavill is continuing his role as Clark Kent. With nonstop rumors and contradicting reports on the matter, it's blatantly obvious that no one knows for sure.
Last week, Aquaman star Jason Momoa showed support for Cavill, and Batman star Ben Affleck, if they choose to ditch their roles.
“If they’re both out, then listen: It’s just the place they’re at in their careers. I mean, how many has Henry done? He’s done three?” Momoa said. “Yeah, I mean, like, you want to move on."
Now, Momoa is stating that Cavill will return as Superman, despite the various reports claiming he's done with the character.
"Absolutely not," Momoa told ET Live when asked if Cavill would be moving on from the role. "He loves the character. He's not [leaving], 100 percent."
It's impossible to know for sure if Momoa's comments are based in reality and not just wishful thinking, but he and Cavill are good friends, so he's certainly a trusted source.
Cavill and Warner Bros. have yet to make an official announcement confirming or denouncing the rumors, and they are in no rush to do so with Cavill busy filming for Netflix's The Witcher and Warner Bros. focusing on other projects like Joker.
