Why Fans Are Convinced 'The Walking Dead' Star Jeffrey Dean Morgan Might Join 'The Boys' for Season 3
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an accomplished actor who is known for his roles as John Winchester in the fantasy horror series Supernatural, Negan in The Walking Dead, and my personal favorite, Denny Duquette in Grey's Anatomy. And now, it seems Morgan may soon be lending his talent to another popular series.
Based on the comic book of the same name, The Boys premiered on Amazon last year. The series follows a team of vigilantes as they fight back against super-powered individuals who abuse their abilities. As reported by CinemaBlend, Morgan tweeted his love for the series, prompting The Boys creator and executive producer Eric Kripke to light-heartedly offer him a role on the show's third season. Season two of The Boys is set to premiere in the fall.
Kripke recently spoke to Collider, and when asked about Morgan joining the cast, he said his offer was totally serious.
"I absolutely have [thought about it]," Kripke dished. "There’s one role we’re already talking about. He has to, uh, we have to like coordinate. Because you know, he’s on The Walking Dead, so he has another home. But we already talked about one role, and there might be a potential other that we’re talking about. But we are, just this past week we were literally texting back and forth about trying to figure out how to get him on the show. I don’t think it’s a done deal yet, but the will is there, and we’re both talking about it."
With any luck, fans of The Boys can look forward to seeing Morgan in season three!
