Jenelle Evans' 911 Call Explained as She Opens Up on Shocking Night
By Jennifer Fabiano
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has been doing a lot of explaining for her husband David Eason lately. If she's not facing comments about him being a racist homophobe, she’s fighting questions about his alleged abuse.
Back in Oct. 2018, news broke that Jenelle called 911 operators and told them that her husband had “assaulted” her and “pinned” her "down on the ground in the yard." Columbus County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that she was transported to the hospital. Later, the shocking 911 call was leaked, confirming the reports.
Jenelle has denied the abuse allegations against her husband to no end, but remained relatively quiet about the subject until now. Jenelle recently clarified the events of the incident in an interview exclusively with Us Weekly.
“We had friends over and we had a bonfire and I tripped over a hole, and me and David were in the middle of arguing about something … I went and fell down, David wouldn’t catch me, he tripped over the hole and we both fell down together,” the 27-year-old star said.
After the incident, Jenelle received major backlash from social media users, who questioned why she would stay with someone who would hurt her.
“I totally understand that. I was like, dude, I was drunk and when I get drunk, sometimes, I cry for no reason. I mean I was hurt, I’m not gonna lie about that,” Evans continued. “Yeah, I hurt my shoulder. But I went to the doctor afterwards and it’s just a sprain and I was fine.”
Jenelle added that fans will understand the event better once they view the upcoming series of MTV’s Teen Mom 2.
“Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, what’s Jenelle’s story? Oh, she’s hiding it.’ No, I’m not hiding it. CPS came to my house, they interviewed me, they know the story. My lawyer knows. Everybody knows except for the public,” she said.
Evans also clarified that her and Eason are still happily married. “Everything’s fine,” she said of their relationship.
