Jenelle Evans Breaks Silence on 'Teen Mom 2' Firing
Jenelle Evans' controversial lifestyle has finally caught up to her, as the 27-year-old reality star was officially fired from Teen Mom 2.
The MTV star was cut from the series after her husband, David Eason, allegedly beat, shot, and killed her french bulldog named Nugget. While Jenelle was upset at the loss of her dog, she returned to their home soon after and carried on like nothing had happened.
"MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since," an MTV spokesperson told Us Weekly yesterday. "Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season."
Now, Jenelle has broken silence on the news, speaking to Us Weekly on how she's taking it. "I was a little bit shocked but I saw it coming," she told the publication today. "It’s shocking still but I respect their decision and have nothing but love for MTV." Surprisingly, she apparently isn't all that heartbroken over it.
"I was upset, I’m still upset, but this is a new chapter for me and my family," she continued. "I will continue to try what’s best for me and my family." And that family seems to definitely include David. Jenelle added, "David has been here for me since the news broke, he told me to not worry about it and to stay positive."
"I'm keeping busy and staying focused on my kids and my animals and my business endeavors which have been planned for months," Jenelle explained on her current plans now that she's done with the reality series. "I’m working to fix my marriage as well and moving forward."
And when asked about recent reports that Jenelle and David might be joining Marriage Boot Camp? "Don’t believe everything you read," she teased. "Just know this isn't the last of Jenelle Evans! I respect my fans and the network and respect their decision."
We're sure we definitely won't be seeing the last of Jenelle. For better or worse.
